For this project, I designed a series of three stitch-bound zines (8.5" x 5.5"), each dedicated to a graphic designer who inspires me: Neville Brody, Paula Scher, and Shigeo Fukuda. The goal was to showcase their history, origins, and notable works while incorporating elements of their unique artistic styles into my designs. Each zine reflects the designer’s signature approach: Paula Scher’s book features varied shapes and typographic treatments, Neville Brody’s zine embraces grunge-era aesthetics from the UK, and Shigeo Fukuda’s book incorporates illusion and shadow art, common in his graphic posters. Although my main challenge was maintaining unity across the three different styles, I successfully achieved a cohesive collection through careful design choices. Despite limitations on size and printing techniques, I made full use of layout, typography, and visual elements to honor each designer’s legacy while keeping the zines visually engaging.
